Alice Reads Classics was a blog idea born during a birthday weekend trip to Hay-On-Wye, a small town on the England/Wales border on the Welsh side. It is very well known for being the town with the highest number of bookshops in the UK. Alice first started blogging in January 2016 on her first blog which is still running: Married To Books Reviews and Blog and gained contact with publishers the following month. She is about to return to study as a mature learner on an Access to HE course with plans to study Creative Writing and English Literature at University.

Alice’s first brushing with classics was at the age of five when her Mum found her reading a copy of Emma by Jane Austen in the linen cupboard, since then, she has been waiting for the right moment to step into the world of reading the classics such as Charles Dickens, HG Wells and many more.

She has been a 6x Goodreads Best Reviewer, gained a following across social media and is regularly active across all platforms.

She lives in England with her parents, two pet cats and a collection of over 700 books!
